Middle if the Ight

As you can see its 1am. My daughter will not get out of our beds. She is 11 years old. The biggest baby I have. Gotta love her. She is staunch at me while I write this so I better not say anything mean. But her breath does stink a little. Her hot breath is blowing on my arm.

Car Troubles

So I am sitting in Jiffy Lube. I got an oil change the other day (and of course they found things wrong)  I have tons of work to get done. Coolant leak, power steering leak, and a dry rotted belt.

All of these are costly repairs. I only have $300 to get what I can fixed. Hopefully it can get most of these things done.

I just recently got my car back on the road because I needed to change my.tags (moved to another state). That meant tags and insurance and lets not forget that dreadful inspection. But I digress and move on.

Why is this happening to me. Uggh. I am not rich I am just barely making it. Luckily for my husband who does the best he can and my dear baby brother who helps me out.

I am better now, just had to get that out. But today I am here for them to change my belt. It's going to cost $74.99 for the part and install. Not much but that is digging into my budget.

Well I will update later with the final results.

Chilling with Family

I am having a good time with my family.

I have not been out in like 3 months. Since I have had surgery back in August I have been in the house.
This is also my first trip long distance since then. I am at a happy place in my life right now. I am very excited about what is coming into place.

My Saturday

Well I am in Maryland visiting family. I am having a good time. Glad to be here and see my family.

I went to a few stores didn't buy anything. But I have been walking around getting a little workout on.

I had a smoothie for lunch (mango strawberry) it was delish. Don't know what dinner will be as of yet. Hubby wants oxtails and rice from our favorite spot.

Not much else. About to do some crochet while I'm here. I actually went to Hancock Fabrics and they were no longer there. That was a bummer. So I rose around and ended up at another mall (Beltway Plaza) and went to Jo Anns (bought nothing)

That's it so far. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. And I will check in later.

Peace

Update of my day 2 of the 5 Day Pouch Test

Today was a good day. I went on a walk earlier to CVS. While there I got some protein mix. Actually my favorite kind Natures Bounty. I got two flavors, Decadent Chocolate and Vanilla Bean. Then we went to Rite Aid. From there I got the bubble guts (lol) but I picked up some protein mix from there too. I got an orange flavor. That one is for pre - workout. So I will try it in the mornings before I take the kids to the bus stop.

I did good today. Didn't eat much or drink much. I wasn't hungry or very thirsty. I did have a chocolate shake for dinner.

I remembered to take my multi-vitamin and b-12. About to take my calcium before bed.

Well good night folks. See ya in the morning.

Items that's helpful with my excess skin issues

Check this out it may help with rashes due to excess skin.

Apple Butter

I got this off of another Bloggers Page:
http://madsmemories.blogspot.com/search/label/recipes

I will be making this soon.

Crock pot apple butter

For standard size crock pot, adjust for small or huge one.
12-14 apples (I do enough to fill my pot)
2 cups apple juice or cider

Wash, core, peel and slice apples. Put in crock pot, cover and cook on low 10-14 hours. I start mine before bed and finish the next day.

When fruit is tender, mash with potato masher or whisk. Measure amount of cooked fruit and put back into crock pot. For EACH 2 cups cooked fruit add:
1 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves

Stir well, cover and cook on high for an additional 6-8 hours, stirring every two hours. After 3 hours, remove lid and continue to cook uncovered so butter will thicken. Spoon into hot jars and process in hot water bath. ( I did mine for 20 minutes, adjust to where you live. You can also just put into freezer jars and freeze!
ENJOY!

My New Blender From GNC

Using My Juicer

My Day

Today was a good day.

Didn't do much. Had my green juice for breakfast. Then went to my doctors appointment. Put on pain meds. My father in law drove me to get my prescription and I walked home (1/2 mile) . Stopped in GNC and looked around. I did buy a protein bar made by AboutTime. The flavor was Pecan Pie. It tasted okay I could only eat one bite.
For some reason I never eat a while bar. I also bought a protein shake from Rite Aid, it tasted great. 50g of protein and no sugar. I manly drank half because I wanted to save the rest for breakfast.

For dinner I ate some greens (homemade)  I cut them myself and boiled them for about 4 hours. They were great.

Welp it now my bedtime but I need to edit some videos I took today. They will be up in the morning.

Good Night

Ending my Night

Its 635 and I am winding down to get ready for the school week. I work in the home so I'm a little flexible.

I will begin the 5 day pouch test tomorrow. I will be posting a video tonight for my Facebook group.

Ashley has a field trip tomorrow, that means packing a lunch don't forget the snacks. She actually has a lunchable with water. And her birthday is Saturday.

Erica is a preteen and that means she has her closed picked out but that will change the moment its time to leave the house.

Andre will put on whatever he thinks is clean. Well sometimes. He is the easiest to get ready when he can find his shoes.

Erin well she is the baby and can do no wrong. Did I mention she is teething.

Whelps that's all for now and my crazy life.

Weight Loss Journey

I am a stay at home wife and mother of 4.

Erica 10
Andre 7
Joyann 5
Erin 5 months

I had RNY on June 4, 2012 at the University Of Maryland Medical Center. My Surgeon was Dr. LoMenzo. He is an excellent person and well as the whole staff at that hospital. I was in there for 3 days (surgery date, next day and part of the next. I went home on all the normal meds and pain meds. I had no complications.

When I returned for my follow up I was down to 227 pounds (268 pound to begin with) He was very pleased. My blood work and everything was normal.

I then moved to Pennsylvania and did not have medical coverage so I have not been back to see anyone.

I then got pregnant in August of 2012 and gave birth in May of 2013. I continued to lose weight during this entire time. Which my Ob office did not like but I could not help it. I was unable to take the glucose test that the administer because I was afraid of dumping. My daughter was later born with no complications. She weighed 5 pounds and 14 ounces. The smallest child I ever had.

By the time I gave birth I was down to 170ish pounds. I was extremely happy. I managed to get back to walking within a few weeks. I began having problems in my belly I went to the ER twice and they dismissed it as an infection. My Ob said it was postpartum depression. It then just went away with pain meds and antibiotics.

Fast forward to August the children were about to go back to school and I had a mini melt down in a MC Donald's. I was in so much pain it was unbearable. Accompanied with vomiting and light headedness? I thought it was because I had ate a burger with onions (no bun). I dismissed it and went to my husbands job to wait for him to get off. It was unbearable and I continued to vomit. When he got off I was driving and had to pull over because I was balled up in pain (on the side of the road.)

I WENT TO THE E.R. While I was there the went through all the test and it ended up being gallstones. I had to stay in the hospital and have surgery to have it removed along with the my gallbladder. The problem was they couldn't just stick a tube in and pull them out because of the RNY. I had to be moved to another hospital who could accommodate me.

While there I was put through the wire. I had and exploratory ERCP which was unsuccessful, I was pissed. So the next day I had to get and lap and if they could not get it that way then it would have to be open. Welp they had to open me up. I was in pain pain pain. I came out of surgery with 13 staples and a jp drain as well as a bile bag. I was in the hospital for a total of 8 days. I came home and was in so much pain i couldn't believe it. I called the surgeon and told them about my pain. They did nothing and said I should not be in pain. Well I knew that much.

I was happy to be home to say the least because I missed my kids like crazy (my mother came and got them and took them back to Maryland)

I was home and vomiting and not eating the whole time. I went to the Surgeons for my 2 week check up and my weight was down to 139 pounds and I looked like it. They ended up keeping me (pissed to say the least) I was only there for one night but it felt like forever.

Fast Forward to Now I am doing well. I am off all meds and my weight is steady between 148 and 152 pounds.

Pre and Post op Pics---Gastric Bypass

MY BEFORE AND AFTER PICS
268 POUNDS VS 152 POUNDS

What to Write About

I have not blogged in a long time.

Well since starting this blog I have had my surgery (gastric bypass) I had it on June 4, 2012. That morning I weighed in at 268 pounds. Fast forward 16 months I am currently 152 pounds. It has been a crazy journey.

I got pregnant in August (don't judge me) I continued to lose weight up until I gave birth to m y 4th child (third daughter0. I weighed 160-170ish after her birth.
